These vegan travel snacks are what I packed for my family on our first vegan vacation!
As a mother to a small toddler, I know the importance of having preferred foods on hand at all times. This is even more important when travelling!
Trader Joe’s
Unsweetened Instant Oatmeal Packets: Contains whole grain oats, ground flaxseeds, chia seeds, quinoa, amaranth, and no added sugars! I don’t plan to use these while travelling, but it will be nice to have a decent breakfast option before we are able to stop by the store. Also, if a flight gets delayed they will be perfect for a healthy, filling meal!
Dried Fruit Bars (Apple + Banana, Apple + Coconut, Apple + Strawberry)
Organic Fruit Sauce Crushers (Apple Banana, Apple Carrot, Apple Mango, Apple Strawberry)
12 Grain Prebiotic Mini Crackers:My toddler loves these with almond butter!
Just Beets, Crispy Crunky Okra
These Peanuts go on a Date Bars: Only 5 ingredients! Date paste, peanut butter, chopped dry roasted peanuts, flaxseed meal & sea salt.
Dried Fruit, nuts, seeds: I will bring a variety and store them in my Blender Bottle GoStak Container!
Costco
Mamma Chia Chia Squeeze: They contain 2 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, and omega-3s. They will be the perfect little boost for my toddler during our trip.
Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars
Sprouts
Almond Butter Packets: I originally purchased Justin’s brand of Almond Butter packets, but realized they have palm oil in the ingredients (why??). Anyways, I returned them and picked up Wild Friends Almond Butter instead.
Larabars: (Check out the list of vegan bars)
Dried Fruit and Nuts: I usually pick up raw unsalted cashews in bulk and Goji Berries here. If I don’t need them right away, I’ve found it’s cheaper to order Goji Berries on Amazon!
Vegan Airport Food
I checked out the vegan offerings at each airport prior to leaving for our trip. Check out my blog post about San Diego Airport’s Vegan Food Options!
