Blueberry Steel Cut Oatmeal

This freezer friendly oatmeal is one of our favorite kid-friendly breakfast recipes! Make a large batch or two and freeze into single serving pucks.
Servings: 12 pucks

  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Quick cooking steel cut oats
  • 1/2 cup Frozen bluberries
  • Almond milk optional
  • Brown sugar optional

  • Cook steel cut oats according to package.
  • Add frozen blueberries (or other fruit), almond milk (optional, and brown sugar (optional).
  • Scoop into silicone liners in a muffin tin. Place in freezer until frozen solid.
  • Remove from muffin liners and tin. Store in airtight container in the freezer.
  • When ready to heat, place one of two oatmeal pucks in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 1 minute increments (stirring occasionally) until heated through.

This makes approximately 12 pucks. 3 pucks is approximately one normal serving of oatmeal.
